The Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Centre (RCAC) is a public contemporary art gallery Bangkok housed in a historic neoclassical building on Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue in Phra Nakhon, one of 15 heritage structures built along the boulevard between 1937 and 1948. Managed by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, the gallery spans three floors and over 5,000 square metres, presenting rotating exhibitions from National Artists through to emerging Thai talents, as well as international artists. Spaces include a large ground-floor exhibition hall, an auditorium with full AV facilities, the U Gallery (a unique U-shaped exhibition room), specialist lighting-controlled rooms, seminar laboratories, a contemporary art library with rare academic texts, and — on the third floor — the ASEAN Cultural Centre, the first of its kind in the region.
The building itself was renovated in 2012–2013, with original brick and concrete surfaces preserved throughout. Admission free. Virtual tour available online.
