theCOMMONS Thonglor is the original community hub in Watthana — Bangkok’s first theCOMMONS location, opened in 2015 in the heart of Thonglor. Built as a “nourishing backyard” for the South Sukhumvit neighbourhood, it set the blueprint for the brand: quality food and lifestyle vendors, open communal spaces, and a commitment to wholesome, meaningful community.
The Space
Spread across four levels, theCOMMONS Thonglor brings together a curated selection of vendors — food, drink, and lifestyle — alongside communal areas designed for lingering. The architectural layout encourages exploration across floors, with spaces that suit everything from a solo coffee to a group gathering. Parking is available in the basement, with valet service from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
Venue Hire

Sustainability & Community
theCOMMONS Thonglor shares the brand’s wider commitments: recycling facilities, reusable cup support, and the Common Compassion programme, which channels contributions to Bangkok’s underserved communities. Pets are welcome — on a leash outdoors and in a stroller indoors. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout.

in the last weekI believe this is a place you must visit first if you are in Thonglor. It is an excellent piece of architecture that appropriately arranges various restaurants, bars, bakeries, and relaxation spaces within a modern building based on exposed concrete. I recommend having a meal or a drink on the basement level, as it is air-conditioned; in other areas, you can also work on your laptop if you choose a seat equipped with a power outlet. However, since the outlets are located outdoors, I am somewhat concerned about the risk of short circuits given Bangkok's humid weather and rain.
