KiRA KiRA Tea is a Japanese-inspired matcha and tea space offering a matcha workshop Bangkok visitors keep coming back for — a calm, minimal setting in Laksi where the art of tea is taken seriously, ten minutes from Don Mueang Airport.
There are two ways to experience KiRA KiRA. On Saturdays, the Tea Club opens for walk-in guests: a quiet afternoon of matcha, seasonal tea drinks, and slow sipping in a carefully considered space. No booking required — just turn up and settle in.
On selected days, small-group workshops go deeper into the craft. Sessions cover matcha preparation, tea syrup making, and Japanese tea rituals, with an emphasis on intention and technique rather than speed. The workshops are designed for beginners and curious tea lovers — no prior knowledge needed.
KiRA KiRA’s approach draws from Japanese tea culture: unhurried, considered, and focused on the experience of the tea itself. If you’ve been looking for a slower, more thoughtful alternative to Bangkok’s café scene, this is a good place to start.
Getting There — KiRA KiRA Tea is in Laksi, approximately 10 minutes from Don Mueang Airport (DMK). Reservation recommended for workshops; walk-ins welcome for Saturday Tea Club.

2 weeks agoThis was my first time visiting, even though it's very close to home. I was very impressed with Khun Dear. The atmosphere was great, very relaxing and friendly from the moment I walked in. It felt calm and I could chat without rushing. The matcha and pudding were delicious. I'm interested in signing up for a course and will try to find a free day to go. 💚💚💚

3 weeks agoThe shop is lovely, the tea is delicious, and the owner is very helpful in explaining what types of tea are available. If you have time, you should definitely sit and enjoy it at the shop.

a month agoOverall: • Recommended for 1-2 people only; it's a small shop. • I think I'll come back again because the matcha is reasonably priced considering the quality. • I took a matcha latte making workshop for around ~1500 yen. It was so much fun! The owner was very chatty and I learned a lot. It's actually really easy to make! Food: • There are many green teas to choose from, but the shop has its own blend of green teas available, with the base from Shizuoka. If you get bored or want to try something else, there are about 3-4 different green teas to choose from in jars at the front of the shop. • On the day I went, I tried (2) Kirari - clear and (5) Kirameki - latte. • My feeling as someone who always drinks lattes after trying (2) Kirari - clear is that it's delicious and easy to drink. I was going to order it cold, but the owner recommended it hot because the tea flavor would be clearer. After trying it, I ended up having the hot version instead. It has an Umami flavor, in the middle. People who are new to clear teas will probably be easy to open their minds to. • The (5) Kirameki - latte also has an Umami flavor and a light nutty taste. The sweetness of the shop, if normal sweet, is equivalent to the less sweet (25-30%) of most shops. I recommend that anyone who likes less sweetness should order normal sweet. • The shop also has desserts. I initially wanted to try the dessert that is similar to Tokyo banana but with a strawberry filling, but I didn't because I had already had enough of green tea. Service: • Since the owner makes the tea himself, there are no staff. If customers come in at the same time, you have to wait because the owner cannot rush the tea making process. • The owner gives good tea recommendations. He is a knowledgeable person and doesn't focus on selling. He will tell you what is good and what he doesn't recommend. • If you are lucky enough to come during a time when there are not many people, you may get the opportunity to chat and exchange knowledge with the owner. • The shop has workshops on Saturdays/Sundays. You can ask through the page. • The shop also offers off-site workshop services. • The shop has a restroom, which is very clean. I used it during a workshop 🤣 Atmosphere: • There aren't many tables in the shop; it seats about 6-7 people. • The seating area is in the back of the warehouse, but it's designed to accommodate small groups of customers. • The shop has a very slow-life mood and tone, like being in Japan. Therefore, the first thing we thought when we entered was to be considerate, especially if there were other customers present, as we didn't want to make noise. It's perfect for sitting and enjoying tea in peace. It would be even more relaxing if it were raining • There's parking for about 3-4 cars in front of the shop. You can park on the side of the road, but there will be a sign indicating that it's the shop's parking area.
