Photohostel & Photocafe is a photography workshop venue in Bangkok, in Talat Noi, housed in the 200-year-old Taiyuan building in the heart of Bangkok’s Chinatown district, a short walk from MRT Hua Lampong and the Chao Phraya boat pier. The venue hosts the Bangkok Photo Workshop & Photo Walk — a guided photography tour of Talat Noi led by award-winning photographer Kars Tuinder, combining a hands-on technique workshop with six practical shooting assignments and cultural exploration (bookings via photomasterclasses.com). The building regularly serves as a filming and photography location, and has hosted events in partnership with Fujifilm, Leica, Big Camera, TED Talks, and renowned photographers including Vineet Vohra. The 200-year-old original office is available for hire for meetings and workshops, equipped with air-conditioning, projector, tables, and chairs. The café serves specialty coffees, smoothies, sandwiches, and pizzas, with free co-working included when you purchase a drink.
