Hong Sieng Kong is an antique café in Bangkok, creatives, collectors, and culture-seekers have quietly claimed as a favourite, set inside a restored 200-year-old Hokkien Chinese mansion in the Talat Noi district. Perched on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, the space unfolds across rooms and courtyards filled with the owner’s private collection of Chinese, Thai, and colonial antiques — hand-carved wooden doors, bronze sculptures, porcelain vases, and rare furniture — much of it available for purchase. Pieces from the collection have been featured at The Siam Hotel, one of Bangkok’s top five-star properties, lending the space genuine curatorial credibility.

Soft music, river sounds, and a green riverside courtyard create an atmosphere that is rare in Bangkok: calm, layered, and genuinely unhurried. The café serves coffee, drinks, and snacks; live music adds to the atmosphere on select days.
Talat Noi itself is one of the city’s oldest and most visually compelling neighbourhoods — historic shophouses, street art, and a living Thai-Chinese heritage within walking distance of Chinatown and River City Bangkok.

Accessible by Grab to Bhanurangsi Pier or parking at River City and Talad Noi car parks.

It's hidden away, but everything was great! I went fairly early in the morning and there weren't many people, but everything was fine. I only ordered a coffee and it was 9/10.

I've been here twice now, and it's still one of my favorite cafés. The atmosphere is calm, the riverside view is beautiful, and there are plenty of great places to take photos. It can get busy, but the food and drinks are served fairly quickly. Overall, it's a lovely café that's worth visiting.
