Office of Art and Culture, Chulalongkorn University

The art gallery Pathum Wan has long looked to is Chulalongkorn University’s Office of Art and Culture — a comprehensive arts and cultural institution on the CU campus that manages galleries, museums, performing arts programmes, and cultural preservation across multiple departments.

Chamchuri Art Gallery
The Chulalongkorn University Art Gallery (Chamchuri Art Gallery) is the institution’s main public exhibition space, hosting rotating exhibitions of contemporary and traditional Thai art. Open to students and the general public, it is one of the more accessible university art galleries in Bangkok.

University Museum & Heritage
The Museum and Art Gallery Department oversees the University Museum, the Chulalongkorn University Thai House, the Historical Hall, and a programme of rotating exhibitions. These spaces collect, preserve, and present artefacts, artwork, and historical records connected to the university and Thai cultural heritage.

Music & Performing Arts
The Chulalongkorn University Symphony Orchestra is one of Thailand’s leading university orchestras. The institution also manages the Thai Music Library — a resource for traditional Thai music documentation and study — as well as the Chulawathit Band.

Dharma Place
The Dharma Place functions as an interfaith spiritual centre for the university community, supporting religious education, ceremonies, and contemplative practice.

Branch Museums
Beyond the Bangkok campus, the Office manages two historical royal residences: the Phra Chutathut Royal Residence Museum on Koh Si Chang (Thailand’s only royal palace on an island, built during the reign of King Rama V), and the Dara Phirom Palace Museum in Chiang Mai.

Open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 19:00. Located on the Chulalongkorn University campus, Pathum Wan, Bangkok.
