Rebel Art Space is the art gallery Sukhumvit Soi 67 dedicated to socio-political art, rebellion, and social change, founded in 2013 by acclaimed Thai artist Vasan Sitthiket and artist Wannaphon Chimbangchong. Located in a small cul-de-sac 60 metres from the start of Sukhumvit 67, the gallery presents Thai and international artists whose practices engage with activism, protest, political critique, and social movements. Parking is available at the Taisin Building near Phra Khanong BTS.
In 2015, the founders launched Rebel Art Space Residency — a collaborative programme based at Vasan Sitthiket’s riverside studio in Chum Saeng, Nakhon Sawan Province, 250 km north of Bangkok. The eight-acre property on the Yom River includes accommodation, studios, a ceramic kiln, and large-format printing equipment.
Thai and international artists are invited to create, exchange, and exhibit together.
