Sanpond Studio offers saxophone lessons Bangkok students of all ages attend for private, one-on-one tuition with Eakpiya Sungkatabtimsung — known professionally as Sanpond, one of Thailand’s leading jazz saxophone musicians. Born in 1986, Sanpond studied at the College of Music at Mahidol University before building a career as a professional saxophonist with over a decade of performance experience across festivals, jazz venues, and recording sessions.
On the performance side, Sanpond is a founding member of Funktion, a Thai jazz fusion band playing all original music. In 2016 the band won the 27th Season Award for best instrumental song for “Natural Order,” an original composition by Sanpond. He is also an active accompanist for concerts, weddings, private parties, and corporate events, and is an endorsed artist with P.Mauriat.
Saxophone classes are taught exclusively as private one-to-one sessions — no group classes. Tuition runs at two Bangkok on-site locations (Silom and Lat Phrao) and online. No prior experience or ability to read music notation is required, and Sanpond advises students on instrument selection and purchasing.
