theCOMMONS Saladaeng is a community hub in Bang Rak that opened in 2020 on a tree-lined street in the Saladaeng-Silom area. Spread across three floors with eateries, communal areas, and outdoor pocket gardens, it’s built around the idea of bringing people together in a space that supports quality producers, mindful living, and meaningful community.
The Space
Spread across three floors, theCOMMONS Saladaeng features a rotating selection of food and lifestyle vendors, open communal seating, and pocket gardens throughout. The building’s iconic red roofs echo the heritage character of the Saladaeng neighbourhood. Seating is largely first-come, first-served — table reservations are available only for Circle membership holders.
Venue Hire
The Sala is available for private hire in indoor, outdoor, or combined configurations. The indoor space is 55 square metres, air-conditioned, with fixed tables and seating for up to 30 people. Amenities include Wi-Fi, TV monitor, microphone, air conditioning, parking voucher, and power outlets. Bluetooth speaker hire is available for an additional fee. Staffing is provided on request.
Rates: Half Day (5hrs) from 8,000 baht; Full Day (10hrs) from 15,000 baht. Venue bookable from 8:00 AM to midnight. Outside food and beverages incur an additional charge of 5,000 baht; ordering from on-site vendors carries no extra fee.
Sustainability
theCOMMONS runs several community initiatives: recycling bins, a Trash Lucky Station, and a Clothing Recycling Station reduce landfill waste. Water refill stations support a 20-baht donation towards the Common Compassion programme, which directs contributions to Bangkok’s underserved communities. Vendors welcome reusable cups and containers.
Practical Info
Pets are welcome — keep them in a stroller indoors and on a leash outdoors. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. Limited self-parking is available at the lot behind the building; additional parking at The Quarter Hotel across the street. Casual photography is welcome; commercial shoots require prior approval.
theCOMMONS has two other homes: the original Thonglor location (Watthana), open since 2015, and the newer Cloud 11. Each has its own character — visit thecommonsbkk.com for details on all three.

in the last weekA nice, chill coffee shop. However, be careful with large vehicles entering the parking garage as the entrance is quite narrow.

a week agoA fantastic community space with a great vibe! I absolutely loved the beautiful architecture with its soaring ceilings and uniquely cascading floor plan. The food stalls are beautifully decorated and offer a great variety of choices. It’s the perfect spot to grab some food, get a coffee, and just relax.
