L’Envol Art Space is a pop art gallery in Bangkok’s Sathorn district, housed across 350 square metres and two floors of a space personally extended by French sculptor Arnaud Nazare-Aga at his home on Soi Suan Plu. The name — meaning “taking flight” in French — is a tribute to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, whose story has been woven into Arnaud’s family for generations: his grandfather flew alongside Saint-Exupéry in the French Foreign Legion in the early twentieth century.

Over 100 original pop art sculptures are on permanent display and available for purchase, spanning collections including Sumo, Sumo Totem, Hippop’Art, Eleph’Pop, Giraf’Pop, Tropic’Ice Monkey, and The Little Prince. Each piece is hand-made in Arnaud’s Bangkok studio using silicon moulds, resin casting, eight layers of hand-applied acrylic paint, and six coats of lacquer. Arnaud has exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2019), the Singapore Fullerton Heritage Precinct, and art fairs across Europe and Southeast Asia. Works ship worldwide.

The venue also houses The Little Prince Café — Thailand’s only official Little Prince café, inaugurated by the Saint-Exupéry family — serving single-origin arabica coffee, homemade pastries, and specialty drinks. Hidden at the back is Vol de Nuit, a speakeasy cocktail bar named after Saint-Exupéry’s novel Night Flight, set around a koi pond and garden. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am–2am.
